PR and Marketing Executive

We’ll help you develop as a professional, teaching you key skills including the art of copywriting, digital marketing, thumb-stopping social media content, campaign management and pitching for new business.

The Role
This role requires an enthusiastic individual, capable of taking responsibility for a workload that will encompass numerous accounts. Applicants must be able to work - and thrive - in a fast-paced environment and should have the confidence to work successfully under their own initiative while also working collaboratively with other members of the AM+A team. You’ll need to be motivated, organised, cool and creative with a great eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
+ Working under an account manager to deliver integrated PR and marketing campaigns that help our clients reach their target audience and grow their brand
+ Creating media pitches (press releases, round-ups, journalist requests etc.) that grab the attention of the reader and result in coverage for our clients
+ Working with the AM+A team to brainstorm new campaign ideas and strategies, helping our clients to achieve their overarching goals
+ Creating digital content that can be distributed across a variety of channels such as blogs, social media content and website copy
+ Working with AM+A’s in-house design team to create eye-grabbing content with a distinct brand identity
+ Researching, contacting and building relationships with journalists and influencers who would be interested in covering our clients
+ Recruiting media for press trips by creating invites and itineraries, building media databases and overseeing trip administration
+ Organising press trip itineraries and liaising directly with local businesses 
+ Monitoring UK media outlets and presenting unique story angles that could help our clients generate coverage
+ Creating monthly reports and analysing media coverage/social media engagement 

Skills and Experience
+ A good understanding of marketing and PR
+ Top class copywriting skills
+ Passion for travel and culture
+ Knowledge of the media landscape
+ Experience of working in a pressured environment
+ Proficient with Google Docs and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel/Google Sheets)
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Confident and capable telephone skills
+ Social media savvy
+ A flexible team player
+ Ambition to help grow the agency
+ Organisational skills
